Rice Tip

Add a few drops of lemon juice to your water to help keep grains from sticking to each other.

Rice and Pork Casserole

Ingredients
  • 6 pork chops
  • 1 Tbsp. fat
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 cup rice 
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 1 1/2 qts, water 
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper

 

Directions
  1. Boil rice in salt water and drain.
  2. Brown pork chops slightly in fat.
  3. Place browned chops in bottom of a casserole.
  4. Add a layer of sliced pepper rings.
  5. Add the rice and top with another layer of sliced pepper rings, if you like.
  6. Dilute soup with 1/2 cup of water and pour over the casserole.
  7. Cover and bake at 375 degrees for 40 minutes.
