Rice Tip

Instead of water, cook rice in chicken or beef broth for an added taste.

Chicken and Rice

Ingredients
  • 3 lbs Chicken
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • dash pepper
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 2 tsp green onion
  • 1 tsp parsley
  • 1 1/3 cup water
  • 1 1/3 cup instant rice

 

Directions
  1. Roll chicken in flour
  2. Place in skillet and brown in butter
  3. Remove chicken from pan
  4. Stir in soup, seasonings and water
  5. Heat to a boil
  6. Spread rice in casserole dish
  7. Pour all but 1/3 cup soup mixture over rice
  8. Stir well to moisten rice
  9. Top with chicken and remander of soup mixture
  10. Cover and bake at 375 F for 30 minutes, or until chicken is fully cooked
  11. Serve immediately
